Dear Blog Reader,
For the past 3 months, I have been working as an intern at a small engineering company in Germany. At this internship, I have learned that Environmental Engineering, my major in college, can lead to a fun, interesting and mentally stimulating career. This summer has been a time for me to discover possibilities for my future career. Before I set off into that career or into the search for a full-time job, I am taking a year to learn about the possibilities for working for the Lord. I will be a student in Christians on Mission, CEM, in Marseille France. I will learn to be a servant, to better understand God’s word, and to develop into a Christian with a missionary-like focus on saving lost souls.
Starting in September, I and an international group of young people will be traveling to and settling in Marseille for a year of studies and service. We will occupy our days studying the Bible and serving in the church and community. We will also travel around Europe to meet local churches and evangelize through French-speaking Europe. We will be working at Camp Bonnefoi, well-known to many here at Pitman. CEM is a time for growing in spiritual maturity, character and faith with a group of people with similar goals.
I am asking for your support through prayer for my year at CEM. I would like to keep you updated on what I am learning during the program and my prayer requests. The best way I could think of to keep in touch is through this regularly updated blog. Please stay posted and check for the tag "prayer requests."
If you would like to support me financially, any amount would be helpful and encouraging. CEM is a free program! The only costs are the cost of our class materials, travel, and the cost of living for a year in Marseille. A gift of any amount would be an encouragement. Here are some suggested donation amounts and likely uses, to give you an idea of what your donation will be used for.

$50 1/6th of monthly rent
$100 1/3rd of monthly rent
